Stamp Duty Concessions
For First Home Buyers in NSW, a concession on Stamp Duty may also be available for the purchase of new homes or vacant land purchased with the intention of building a new home. A full rebate applies for new homes with a value under $550,000 ($350,000 for vacant land). Partial concessions remain available up to $650,000 for new homes or $450,000 for vacant land.

July 1, 2017 Update: From 1st July 2017, First Home Buyers in NSW will no longer have to pay stamp duty on both new and existing homes worth up to $650,000. Stamp duty discounts will also apply to properties worth up to $800,000 as part of a major housing affordability package announced by NSW Government.
